 “Patricia engaged remarkably well with our son, who was not yet 2 at the time. He loved seeing her and got excited when she arrived. She was patient and understanding with him, while still able to be firm and encourage him to use verbal communication. She was also a huge help to us as parents with tips and tricks, and things to work on at home with him to improve his speech between visits. She remembered what toys and shows he liked and used that to create common ground. She was also great at reading him and adjusting if he was disengaged or distracted. She would adapt to what he was playing with that day and incorporate it into the lesson. We absolutely loved having Patricia work with our son. She was professional, personable, kind and understanding, and very knowledgable in her field. We have had other therapists work with our son in the past, but she is by far our favorite and has had the biggest impact in his speech progression.
